Body build variations will occasionally cause the roof console to bow and sun visors may remain in the stored position when the release button is pushed.
To service, remove the stress on the console by using the following procedure (Refer to Figure 6):
1.
Remove the right and left "A" pillar garnish mouldings. (See Shop Manual Section 45-16 for removal and installation.)
2.
Remove the four console attaching screws at the "A" pillar.
3.
Allow the console to seek its natural position. Using the console as a template, punch (do not drill) four new holes in the "A" pillar and install four
attaching screws to the punched holes.
NOTE:
Before punching the new holes, make sure the roof console is fitted properly against the headliner.
