retainer is a C-clip in the center of the axle housing which must be pulled rearward to disengage from housing. The third retainer is located at the
union of the rear wheel brake tube and flexible hose. To remove connector from this retainer, remove hold-down bolt and open the clip.

Remove rear wheel caliper and rotor assemblies, Mark VII only.

Remove wheel sensor retaining bolt and the sensor, Fig. 15.

Remove grommet from rear brake splash shield and pull sensor wire out through hole.

Remove sensor bracket, if necessary.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque sensor bracket attaching screws to 11---15 ft. lbs.
b. Prior to installing sensor, loosen set screw on sensor and ensure sensor slides freely on bracket post.
c. If sensor is being reused, remove all foreign material from pole face, then glue a new front paper spacer on pole face.
d. Torque sensor retaining bolt to 40---60 inch lbs.
e. Push sensor toward toothed ring until paper spacer contacts sensor ring and torque set screw to 21---26 inch lbs.
