6. Remove the pin-type retainer.
7. Remove the side shield.

Pull the side shield out far enough and disconnect the power lumbar switch.

Pull the wire harnesses through the seat cushion frame and remove the side shield.
8. Remove the power seat track.
9. Disconnect the upper Thermo-Electric Device (TED) (if equipped).
10. Remove the pin-type retainer from the side air bag electrical connector.
