With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the system.  See: Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming

WARNING:  THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY.  REMOVE
FROM THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE.  FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE
VIOLATION OF VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.

Check the active restraint system for correct operation.

REMOVAL

NOTE:  This procedure is for the LH side; the RH side is similar.

1. Release the tab and open the safety belt guide cover.

NOTE:

If the safety belt guide cover is damaged or it does not remain closed, install a new cover.

The safety belt guide has been removed for clarity.
