6. Install the parking brake shoe adjuster.

Using a suitable tool, spread the bottom of the parking brake shoes apart.

Install the parking brake shoe adjuster.

7. Using the special tool, measure the inside diameter of the drum portion of the rear brake disc.

Record the measurement.

8. NOTE:  Make sure that the parking brake shoes are correctly centered. Take the measurement at the widest point across the center of the parking

brake shoes.

Using the special tool, measure the parking brake shoe diameter.

Rotate the adjuster to set the parking brake shoe diameter to 5 mm (0.02 inch) less than the recorded inside diameter of the drum portion of
the rear brake disc.

9. Install the brake disc.
