7. If equipped with air suspension, reactivate the system by turning on the air suspension switch.
8. Fill the transmission with Motorcraft MERCON or MERCON V Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent meeting FORD specification. Check

for proper operation.

DISASSEMBLY 

NOTE:  The cooler bypass valve needs to be thoroughly cleaned and flushed out at this time.

1. Remove and inspect the cooler line case fittings. If the cooler line case fittings are damaged replace the cooler line case fittings.

2. Remove the rubber-coated sealing washers.
