ISSUE
Some 2007-2008 Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Town Car vehicles may exhibit idle speed dropping below specification. Additionally some 2008
Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Town Car vehicles may exhibit any one or combination of the following symptoms, hesitation/difficulty starting,
low idle, a malfunction indicator light (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0506 and/or P0505.
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 63.13 and higher or 64.01 and higher. This new calibration is
not included in the VCM 2009.11 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
