Idle Speed: Adjustments
Pneumatic Idle Speed Control

1.

Connect digital tester and check throttle linkage for freedom of movement.

2.

Start engine, warming it to normal operating temperature and disconnect throttle linkage.

3.

Check idle speed and adjust if idle speed is not 680 ±20 RPM with the actuator connected, 620 ±40 RPM with the actuator disconnected.

4.

Disconnect the electrical connection from the electromagnetic actuator.

5.

Back off locknut and turn adjusting screw to reach desired engine RPM.  Snugly tighten the lock nut.

6.

Reconnect the throttle linkage, making sure that the linkage fits without moving the linkage.  If it does not, adjust the throttle linkage.

7.

Turn on all electrical units and check engine for a smooth idle.
