SUBJECT:

INSTALLATION OF DUST CAP ON WIPER MOTOR SHAFT
MODEL 201 WITH BOSCH EXTENDED-REACH WIPER SYSTEM

A dust cap is now installed on the wiper Motor shaft of the Bosch extended-reach wiper system.

The dust cap should be installed on previous production vehicles during the next service or repair work.

Procedure

1.

Fold-out the wiper arm and check if a Bosch wiper system is installed.

NOTE:

Bosch wiper systems can be identified by the milled flat surface on the push rod (arrow) facing the windshield (Figure 1).

Disconnect negative battery cable..

Pull off rubber strips (arrows) from the component compartment wall and the cover for the air intake (Figure 2).
