Mark timing chain and camshaft timing gear relative to each other.

Unbolt camshaft timing gear and remove sprocket.

NOTE  When installing the sprocket note markings.

Tightening torque of set bolt 80 Nm (59 ft lbs).

Withdraw both guide rail bolts (26) with impact extractor 116 589 20 33 00 and stud 100 589 003 400.

NOTE  If the guide rail bolts are too tight, the extractor 115 589 203 300 with stud 115 589 003 400 can also be used.

INSTALLATION

-

Install in reverse order of removal.
