Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing Monovalve

Removal

1. Drain radiator coolant.
2. Disconnect battery.

Monovalve Installed

3. Loosen both clamps on water hoses on monovalve and pull off hoses.
4. Pull electric 2 pin plug from mono valve (11).
5. Remove both fastening bolts and lift mono valve from holder.

Installation

NOTE: Prior to installation of mono valve, check grommets between mono valve and holder for damage and renew if needed.

1. Insert mono valve in holder and install both bolts.
2. Install 2 pin plug to mono valve (11).
3. Install hoses on mono valve (11) and fasten hose clamps.
4. Connect battery.
5. Refill radiator with coolant and check cooling system for leaks.
