SUBJECT:

TIGHTENING TORQUE OF ADAPTER FITTING ON OIL FILTER HOUSING ALL OM 617 ENGINES

Adapter Fittings

In case of oil leaks between the oil filter housing and the adapter fittings (arrows), tighten the fittings to 50 N-m (previously 40 N-m).

NOTE:

Loosen each oil line union nut prior to torquing the adapter fittings.

The new torque value entered production as of January 1985..
