Note:
The installation of the engine mount cooling tube has been made conditional to engine mount replacement in section B. The Time Allowance and
Damage Code information has been updated correspondingly.
A - Work Instructions
A. Engine Mount, Mode1 124 and 201
As of February 1989 production, 2 mm higher front engine mounts were phased into production. To allow tension-free installation and correct
positioning, the bottom of the motor mount has two grooves (arrow) and the front frame cross member has two corresponding tabs as of August 1989
production.
All models except 201.024, 201.028
The modified motor mounts may be installed in earlier production vehicles only after depleting stock of the previous version. When installing the new
mounts, ensure that they are installed tension-free. Consult the parts m1crofiche for applicable part numbers.
Models 201.024, 201.028
In case of engine mount replacement, install only engine mount part no. 201 240 40 17 (see section "B" of this Service Information).
Note:

Installation of the previous and modified engine mounts on the same vehicles is not permissible.

When installing new engine mounts ensure that they are installed tension-free.
