As of July 1986 production, the fuse for the ACC blower motor was changed from a 25A fuse in the fuse box, to a 30A fuse in an auxiliary fuse holder
(arrows, Figures 1 and 2).
For an interim period, the auxiliary fuse was secured to the wiring harness with a cable strap instead of a holder.

On any 1986 Series 124 or 126 model with a chassis number lower than those listed above, a new solder tip blower fuse must be installed during the next
service visit (fuse no. 12, model 124; fuse no. 16, model 126).
Note:
Vehicles having the main fuse box cover already marked with a green dot do not have to be checked or modified.
