Shift Solenoid: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
The switchover valve (Y3/3) controls the vacuum to the control pressure cable element.
Switchover Valve (Y3/3)
LOCATION
The switchover valve is located in engine compartment front driver side corner.
OPERATION
The LH control unit controls the switchover valve. When the valve is energized, manifold vacuum reaches the pressure cable vacuum element and
delays the transmission upshift point.
