As of July 1990 production, a modified radio mounting was installed which secures the radio with two metal spring clips instead of the previous plastic
clips.

The clips engage on the bottom left and right side of the radio cavity (arrow, Fig. 2).

Procedure

1.

Remove ashtray.

2.

Push left clip downward using Plastic Wedge. Simultaneously, push left side of radio approximately 5 mm out of the radio cavity. Push right clip
downward and completely remove radio from cavity (Figure 3).

3.

Disconnect electrical connections and antenna cable from radio.

4.

Reinstall radio in reverse sequence.
