Sun Roof Lid (Mechanical Sun Roof), Removal/Installation

Removal and installation of sun roof lid (mechanical sun roof) 

Removal 

1  Unlock sun roof lid and take end lever out of recess.
2  After opening sun roof lid three fourths of the way, unclip sun roof headliner at front and pull it out upward.

3  Open sun roof lid all the way and remove left and right sliding rails.
4  Lift off sun roof lid.

 
 
Installation 

5  Before installation, lubricate all slides as well as sliding rails up to their rear ends thoroughly with MB slide paste using a piece of felt or brush

attached to an extension.

6  Guide in sun roof lid from above and install sliding rails.
7  Continue installation in reverse sequence of removal.
