Level Controller & Pressure Oil Pump Check

123 Series

    Pressure tester kit No. 126589022100 is required for performing this check.

1.

Disconnect connecting rod from level controller lever.

2.

Plug oil drain hose with bleed screw on level controller.

3.

Slowly open bleed screw to discharge pressure, then remove bleed screw from level controller.

4.

Connect pressure gauge with hose to level controller, then plug oil drain hose with bleed screw.

5.

Check pressure oil pump and pressure relief valve in level controller by moving level controller lever to ``F'' (filling) position and observing
pressure gauge with engine running. At 800-100 RPM, oil pump should produce a minimum of 130 bar (1885 psi) pressure and the pressure relief
valve should open at 130-185 bar (1958-2683 psi) pressure.

6.

Stop engine, then move level controller lever to ``L'' (emptying) position. Gauge should now indicate basic pressure of at least 22-38 bar (319-551
psi).

7.

Check pressure reading after a 5 minute stabilization period, then allow vehicle to sit for at least 4 hours and ensure pressure remains constant.

8.

Evacuate basic pressure using the bleed screw and oil drain hose.

9.

Remove pressure gauge, then install bleed screw into level controller.

10.

Run engine at high idle and move level controller lever to ``F'' (filling) position for 30 seconds.

11.

Attach connecting rod to level controller, then check system oil supply and correct as necessary.
