Compressor/Pump: Service and Repair
Pressure Oil Pump, Replace

126 Series

1.

Disconnect pressure and suction lines from pressure oil pump.

2.

Remove 4 pump-to-cylinder head attaching screws, then the pump and driver, Fig. 5. Do not loosen the 2 pump housing-to-cover attaching
screws.

3.

Remove pump intermediate flange from cylinder head.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, using new gaskets and seals. Torque pump attaching screws to 10 ft. lbs., suction line fitting to 11 ft. lbs., pressure
line fitting at oil pump to 18 ft. lbs. and pressure line fitting at valve unit pressure regulator to 22 ft. lbs.

123 Series

1.

Disconnect pressure and suction lines from pressure oil pump. Plug suction line opening.

2.

Remove pump-to-cylinder head or crankcase attaching screws, then the pump. On some models, it will be necessary to remove ignition distributor
and loosen A/C compressor belt tensioner. Do not loosen the 2 pump housing-to-cover attaching screws.

3.

Reverse procedure to install, using new gasket. Torque pump attaching screws to 10 ft. lbs. and pressure line fitting at oil pump to 18 ft. lbs.
