Air Door Vacuum Solenoid Valve: Testing and Inspection

TESTING:

Switchover Valve

1. Connect tester to connection A of switchover valve and evacuate.

NOTE:  The vacuum must be maintained at permissible values. If tester shows a pressure increase, the switchover valve is defective.

2. Check electric function of valve by applying voltage. Valve will open. Indication on tester goes back to zero.
3. Connect tester to connection B. Close connection A with blind plug, apply voltage and evacuate.
4. Disconnect voltage on switchover valve. Readout on tester goes back to zero.

Permissible Leakage:  20 mbar at 300 mbar vacuum.
