Evaporative Emissions System: Description and Operation
The vapors from the fuel tank are routed via the valve system (2) into the charcoal canister. The fuel vapors are stored in the charcoal canister
when the engine is not running. When the engine is running, the vapors are purged into the throttle valve housing as of a certain position of the
throttle valve.
The valve system (2) with its vacuum relief valve, pressure relief valve and safety valve remains in its construction as already known.
The throttle valve has a purge connection to receive the fuel vapors from the charcoal canister.
