The anchor plate (part no. 123 860 00 11) can be installed at either of the three locations (right, middle, left) shown in Figure 4.

Middle location:

Punch out perforated cutout (a) for the mounting screw from trunk side (Figure 5).
a.
Place anchor plate with longer side perpendicular to driving direction, mark holes for pop rivets and drill 4.2 mm holes.
WARNING! Be careful not to damage fuel tank or fuel lines while drilling.
b.
Fasten anchor plate with pop rivets (4 mm diameter) to bottom of shelf.
Left or right location:

Place anchor plate with the longer side parallel to driving direction and mark holes for pop rivets and mounting screw.
a.
Drill 4.2 mm holes for pop rivets and a 12 mm hole for the mounting screw.
b.
Fasten anchor plate with pop rivets (4 mm) to bottom of shelf.

Punch out a hole (15 mm diameter) in the shelf insulation, at the selected location (Figure 6).
