SUBSEQUENT INSTALLAITON OF LATCH PLATE FOR TETHER STRAP (TO SECURE CHILD RESTRAINTS ONLY) MODELS 1

This work instruction now includes the installation procedure for model 124 vehicles.
NOTE:

All measurements are in millimeters

1.

Open the soft top storage compartment cover and unfold the top forward.

2.

Locate existing anchorage point (12 mm hole) through liner in rear wall of cargo space (directly behind the passenger seat) and punch a 12 mm
diameter hole in the liner (Figure 1).

NOTE:

The carpeting does not have to be removed.

3.

Fasten latch plate to existing anchorage point with mounting screw.

1.

Remove shelf below rear window (job no. 68-458).

2.

Remove perforated cutout in shelf insulation at either of the locations (right, middle, left) shown in Figure 2.

3.

Punch corresponding hole into the shelf carpeting from below using punch.

4.

Reinstall parts removed in step 1.
