Thermo Time Switch: Testing and Inspection

1.

Remove the thermo time switch.

2.

Connect an ohm meter between the terminals on the switch.

3.

With the water temperature in the testing container below 30°C, there should be no resistance.

4.

Heat the container progressively in order to raise the temperature and note the temperature where the connection is broken.

5.

For a thermo time switch in good condition the temperature range should be between 30°C and 40°C.

6.

If the test does not go as outlined above, replace the thermo time switch.
