Main Air Flap Vacuum Element Replaced By New Version

Left (43) and right (44) main air flap vacuum element up to VIN 182 367.

Location 
Main air flap (44) vacuum element as of VIN 182 368.

Since 01/94 the main air flap (43) vacuum element has been eliminated on the fresh air/recirculated air control the main air flap (44) vacuum element is
designed as a single-stage version only.

NOTE:  The replacement part is available only in the new version with one vacuum element. When replacing the air collection housing connect the
present lead (drt) to the main air flap vacuum element (44) and close lead (mgn/hbl) with a blind plug (000 987 29 45).
It is not necessary to replace valve block (Y11).
