6. With special tool, remove fastening screws from control unit.
7. Remove control unit, pulling lead at the same time.
Installation:
8. Mount control unit securely to transmission tunnel (specified torque, 10 Nm).
WARNING: Arrow on control unit must point towards front of vehicle.
9. Connect red 10-pin plug (arrowed) to cable harness.
10. Connect battery, turn ignition key to position "1" and check system with RS/SRS control lamp.
11. Turn ignition key to position "0", disconnect and insulate negative battery terminal.
12. Disconnect red 10-pin plug from electronics board.
13. Check system with tester. See: Restraint Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics
14. Complete installation in reverse order of removal.
15. Check system with RS/SRS control lamp (A1e15).
