Windshield Washer Fluid - New Concentrate

NEW MB WINDSHIELD WASHER CONCENTRATE WITH IMPROVED CLEANING PROPERTIES

NOTE:

S.I. 82/37, March 1985 was revised to include the part number of the summer ("S") concentrate. Please discard your copy of 82/37.

New M-B windshield washer concentrates are now available containing an improved cleaner additive. Complaints of windshield wiper smearing should
be resolved through the use of the new concentrates (mixed with water according to the directions). When smearing occurs, it is very important to advise
the owner to use the windshield washer as often as necessary. A window cleaner should also be used periodically to clean a dirty or oil filmed
windshield.

Due to the aerodynamic slope of the windshield, models 124, 126 and 201 exhibit a greater tendency to accumulate road film on the glass. Therefore, we
recommend that only the new concentrates be used on these models, depending on the season. On other models, the old fluid may be used up, except in
case of smearing complaints.

The part number of the new washer concentrate remains unchanged, but is marked with an additional "W", designating winter or year-round use. The
summer concentrate is marked with an "S", designating warm climate and summer use only (no protection against freeze up).

The label on the "W" concentrate lists mixtures only to -14 °C (7 °F). Mixing ratios for colder temperatures are as follows:

1 part concentrate to 2 parts water protects to -20 °C (-4 °F)
1 part concentrate to 1.5 parts water protects to -25 °C (-13 °F)

NOTE:

MB windshield washer concentrates "W" and "S" may be mixed. The new washer concentrates should not be mixed with other washer fluids,
concentrates, or the previous MB washer concentrate. Remove the old washer fluid from the windshield washer bottle before using the new
concentrate.
