Condenser Fan: Description and Operation
Engine/AC Electric Fan
The electric suction-type fan (engine/A/C) (M4/3) serves for cooling the coolant and refrigerant.
The electric suction-type fan (M4/3) runs at 20 % speed when the air conditioning is switched on for basic ventilation.
The fan speed increases infinitely depending on the refrigerant pressure and/or coolant temperature.
The engine control module (SAM) receives the coolant temperature from the air conditioning coolant temperature sensor and from the pushbutton
control module the refrigerant pressure from the refrigerant pressure sensor.
This input information is transferred by the engine control module as a PWM signal via the engine control module (SAM) to the control module for the
electric suction-type fan (N76). Here the input information is compared with stored values and if applicable, the speed of the electric suction-type fan
(M4/3) is increased up to 100 %.
