Task
Improving idle speed, boosting torque and power output in the mid/upper engine speed/load range.
Design/function
The camshaft solenoid which is operated by the engine control module, is attached to the camshaft adjuster. The position of the inlet camshaft is altered
by rotating the camshaft adjuster to "advanced" (large valve overlap) or to "retarded" (slight valve overlap - basic position).
