Disconnect ground cable of battery

Remove light switch module (S1)

Remove cover below instrument panel (left)

Remove door sill molding (11)

Remove edge guard (12) in area of A-pillar paneling

Unclip cap from A-pillar cover (14)

Unscrew bolt (13)

Unclip A-pillar cover (14), remove

Open cable duct on entry panel

Disconnect pneumatic connector (3)

CAUTION:  Careful, risk of cracks and fracture.

11.1 Disconnect pneumatic connector (5a)

CAUTION:  Careful, risk of cracks and fracture.

Disconnect pneumatic connector (5b)

CAUTION:  Careful, risk of cracks and fracture.

Expose pneumatic lines

Remove headlamp range controller (1)

15

Install in the reverse order

Perform basic programming

NOTE: Only if no quiescent current retention device has been used.

Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase

18

Check for proper function
