Lighting - Interior Lights Come On After Unlocking Twice

Vehicle Interior Lights Turn On Only After Depressing Unlock Twice

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the vehicle interior lights turn on only after depressing unlock twice, this may be due to
an unintentional reaction due to the physical properties of green tinted glass. This only occurs in vehicles with green glass and a rain light sensor with
software version 8.0 or lower (identifiable in DAS as S80 or lower). Do not replace the rain light sensor, proceed as follows to resolve.

1. Read out RLS software version in DAS by following path: Control units -> Body -> OCP-Overhead control panel -> Control unit version

2. If software version is S80 or lower, adjust light threshold in DAS by following path: Control units -> Body -> OCP-Overhead control panel ->

Control unit adaptations -> Rain/light sensor -> Adaptation of the light sensor amplification value

3. A green horizontal bar scale is displayed with the end points of 69 and 89. Normally the set point will be 79. The higher the set value, the later the

light is switched on and the sooner it is switched off. The lower the set value, the sooner the light is switched on and the later it is switched off.

4. To resolve the above condition, the set value needs to be decreased. The exact amount has to be determined on the vehicle. A starting point of 74

is recommended.

5. Select F5 to decrease the set value and F6 to increase the set value. F7 returns the set value to 79.

6. Select F3 to transfer the coding to the control unit.

7. Verify that the vehicle interior lights now turn on after depressing the unlock button once. If yes, the coding change is complete. If not, then further

reduce the set value per the above steps.
