NOTE: Installation: Rub the diaphragm travel sensor at the front with some spirit or soap suds so that when inserting the O-ring slides correctly.

Replace O-ring
NOTE: Installation: insert O-ring into groove of brake booster ensure correctly located.

Install in the reverse order
Inspecting

Start engine
NOTE: Operate brake several times.

Switch off engine

Check diaphragm travel sensor for tightness
NOTE: Air flow noises must not be audible at the brake booster.

Perform basic programming

Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase

Removing And Installing Brake Booster
DANGER:

Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid.

Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling
brake fluid.

Remove master brake cylinder (1)

Check master brake cylinder for leaks at rear of primary piston.

Unplug diaphragm travel sensor connector (A7/7x1) from BAS diaphragm travel sensor (A7/7b1)

Unplug connector of release switch (A7/s1)

Disconnect vacuum line (8) from brake booster
