Oil Pan: Removal and Replacement

Remove/install oil pan

Remove/Install

DANGER:

-

Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

CAUTION:  Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts.

Remove rack-and-pinion steering

NOTE:  Do not dismount the rack-and-pinion steering from the front axle carrier.

Remove front axle gear.

NOTE:  Do not dismount the rack-and-pinion steering from the front axle carrier. The front axle carrier is lowered with mounted rack-and-pinion
steering.

Dismount high-pressure line (3) of rack-and-pinion steering at oil pan bottom section (2)

Dismount left and right oil line (4, 8) of automatic transmission at oil pan (1)

Dismount banjo bolt (4a) of left oil line (4) at automatic transmission and tie left oil line (4) to the side.

NOTE:
-

Seal line connections.

-

Installation:  Install new sealing rings.

Dismount supporting clamp (10) of engine support at engine support and at oil pan (1)

Dismount bracket (7) of 02-sensor connectors at bottom of oil pan (1)

Unplug plug (9) at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

Drain and collect engine oil
