Position measurement is performed by one Hall sensor on the shaft of each of the two adjustment motors.
Their direction of rotation is assigned automatically.
Switch actuation
The positions can be stored in two ways:
a. First the memory switch (S91/2s9 or S92/2s9) is held down and the appropriate memory button (S91/2s6, S91/2s7, S91/2s8 or S92/2s6, S92/2s7,
S92/2s8) is pressed.
b. First the memory switch (S91/2s9 or S92/2s9) is pressed and then released. Then the appropriate memory button (S91/2s6, S91/2s7, S91/2s8 or
S92/2s9, S92/2s7, S92/2s8) is pressed (with in t <= 3s).
Storing positions
Positions are stored in the driver-side or passenger side front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/1, N32/2).
Calling up stored positions
The appropriate memory button (S91/2s6, S91/257, S91/2s8 or S92/2s6, S92/2s7, S92/2s8) is held down until the steering column has moved to the
stored position.
If the position button is released while moving to a stored position, the adjustment stops immediately.
NOTE: If key-coded storage is activated in the instrument cluster, this is carried out first. In other words, the steering column moves to the last position
assigned to the corresponding key code.
