Electrical - Ashtray Illumination Connector Placement

Ashtray Illumination Connector
Pay attention to the correct contacting for the connectors of the ashtray illumination and label illumination for the ashtray cover. Remember to mark the
lines before disconnecting them and upon conclusion of the work, carry out a function check with the ignition switched on and the interior illumination
activated.
Carry out function check for other-make installations in the area of the center console (front or rear) and produce the original condition of plug
couplings. As a result connected work must be billed to the customer and must not be invoiced via warranty and goodwill.

Should vehicle electronics fail in any control unit with no corresponding fault entry, check for foreign parts in the interior wiring harness of the vehicle.
(Note example of TV enable module for COMAND APS NTG2 in Figure 1.)
Sample malfunctions might be:
^ Random unlocking or locking of the vehicle while driving
^ Temporary or continuous set off of the hazard warning system
^ Sudden rise in travel distance in the IC.
The presence of non-approved accessories will null and void any warranty obligations and material defect liability obligations, where the installation of
non-approved accessories has caused faults or damage.
Repair costs must then be charged to the customer and they must not be settled through warranty claims.
