Component Identification

Location

The seat occupied recognition pressure sensor is installed underneath the seat cushion on the seat cushion frame of the front passenger seat.

Task

The seat occupied recognition pressure sensor measures the weight on the front passenger seat by measuring the pressure in seat mat filled with silicone.

This value is used by the Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110) to determine the occupation status of the front passenger seat.
