Replacement of Side Impact Sensors
In the event of a sufficient side impact resulting in a side impact airbag deployment, it is not necessary to replace the side impact sensors (N53/1 and
N54/1), unless they are physically damaged, when replacing the airbag control module (N2/7).
When replacing side airbag sensors, please ensure that airbag control modules and side airbag sensors are from the same manufacturer (Temic or Bosch).
Both Temic and Bosch control modules are available as replacement parts.
