1. Pull roof frame seal upwards.

The external roof frame sealing lip (1-Figure 2) should not contact the mirror triangle cover (2-Figure 2) when closing the door.
II.Wind noise in the area of the roof frame seal
Cause: Incorrectly adjusted side windows may damage the roof frame seal or cause wind noises.
1. Inspect roof frame seal for damage, replace if necessary.
Refer to WIS-document: Remove/install seal section at roof frame (AR88.85-P-2000N).

The new roof frame seal must be at least quality status 13 (labeling on rear of roof frame seal).

Roof frame seals must always be replaced in pairs (left and right).
2. Close the door and move the door window (2-Figure 3) into top end stop position.
3. Check the penetration depth of the door window (2-Figure 3) into the roof frame seal (1-Figure 3).

Use a wax pencil or the like to trace the position of the lower edge of the roof frame sealing lip along its entire length across the door window.

The penetration depth (a-Figure 3) should be 5...7 mm over the entire length. If the penetration depth is not within this range refer to
WIS-document:
Adjust front door window (AR72.10-P-1950N).
4. Close rear side window (3-Figure 3) completely.
5. Check the penetration depth of the rear side window (3-Figure 3) into the roof frame seal (1-Figure 3).

Use a wax pencil or the like to trace the position of the lower edge of the roof frame sealing lip along its entire length across the rear side
window.

The penetration depth (a-Figure 3) should be 6...8 mm over the entire length. If the penetration depth is not within this range refer to
WIS-document:
Adjusting rear side windows (AR67.30-P-4200N).
6. Check transitions and gap from crank window in driver's door to rear side window, adjust if necessary.

For this purpose remove molding from rear fender. Correct inclination above rear adjustment screw with Socket wrench.
