Noises from Parking Brake Cable

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a noise from the rear of the vehicle, inspect the rear parking brake cable brackets located
on the rear axle carrier. If a bracket(s) is broken, replace the welded bracket with a bolted style bracket as outlined below.

Note: 

The parking brake cable brackets may break due to vibrations encountered through normal driving operations of the vehicle. As a result of this, the
parking brake cable may cause noises if it contacts the rear axle carrier or rear sub frame. However, the function of the parking brake is not affected.

Note: 

Always replace parking brake cable brackets in pairs.
