Blower Motor: Description and Operation
Purpose
In the fresh air mode, the blower sucks fresh air in through the fresh air flap in the recirculated air mode through the recirculated air flap out of the
vehicle passenger compartment into the A/C housing. In the residual engine heat utilization mode the control voltage to the blower regulator is limited to
1.6 V
Function
The automatic A/C pushbutton control module transfers a control voltage of 0-6V to the blower control. This then controls the operating voltage for the
blower (0-12 V) depending on the control voltage present. This provides for control of the blower speed from 0-100%.
The blower control (operating voltage) is affected by the following factors:
