High-Pitched Whining Noise Heard on Telephone/VCS/Tele Aid Calls

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that a high-pitched whining noise is heard throughout a telephone call using voice control or
during a TeleAid call, install the dedicated fuel pump harness and relay indicated below.

To set up installation of the fuel pump harness and relay, the following preparation needs to be completed to expose the wiring:

a)

Remove paneling in trunk. Refer to WIS Document AR68.30-P-4600M.

b)

Remove rear seat cushion. Refer to WIS documents AR91.12-P-1020M, AR91.12-P-1020MA, or AR91.12-P-1020MB.

c)

Remove seat adjuster at rear seat. Refer to WIS document AR91.12-P-1520M.

d)

Remove rear-seat backrest. Refer to WIS documents AR91.12-P-1620M, AR91.12-P-1620MA, or AR91.12-P-1620MB.
