7. Check short stroke position of rear side windows (3-Figure 3).

Dimension (c-Figure 3) between the lower edge of the roof frame sealing lip (1-Figure 3) and the upper edge of the rear side window (inner
window) must not exceed 4 mm.

In the event of deviations, adjust the rear control unit settings using Star Diagnosis. Enter via "Control unit adjustment of rear control unit
RCU 215".

III.Wind noise in the area of the rear side window bar seal

Cause: Damaged bar seals can cause wind noises.

1. Remove bar seal.

2. Check whether window radius area is filled with sealing compound (2-Figure 4) in area of bar seal (1-Figure 4).

If sealant is present, skip to step 4.

3. Fill radius area of window at bar seal (1-Figure 4) with Terostat sealant (2-Figure 4).

4. Check bar seal (1-Figure 4) for damage or wear and replace bar seal if necessary.

New bar seal must correspond to at least quality level 12 (labeling on rear of bar seal).

5. Install bar seal.

6. Check adjustment of the rear side window and correct as required.

IV.Wind noises at driver and passenger doors

Cause 1: Wind noises at door handle can be heard in passenger compartment.

1. Remove door liner on front door. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P-1000N.

2. Remove inner and outer shaft seal.

3. Position shaped foam block (1-Figure 5) into rear upper door corner from bottom.
