Heater Core Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation
The heater core temperature sensor (B10/1) measures the temperature of the heated air behind the heater core separately on the left and right sides.
The heater core temperature sensor is a temperature dependent resistor. The resistance measured is relayed to the pushbutton control module. Here it is
compared with the temperature set on the pushbutton control module. Each temperature setting is associated with a certain resistance.
The pushbutton control module determines the opening time for the duovalve by comparing the actual value and the stored value for the setting.
