Function
The RF signals are received by the

rear spoiler antenna (A2/51, model 168),

antenna in rear bumper (A2/31, model 170),

rod antenna (A28, model 208.4) or
-
rear side window antennas (A2/33, model 210.2)
and transferred to the signal inputs of the
-
FM/AM amplifier (A2/18, models 168, 208, 210.2) or
-
left rear bumper antenna amplifier (A2/26, model 170)
where the signals are amplified and transferred on to the radio receiver via a coaxial cable.

Purpose
Reception and amplification of the global positioning system (GPS) satellite signals.
Design
The GPS antenna consists of a microwave antenna (reception frequency in giga-Hz range) and an antenna amplifier. Power is supplied via the
coaxial antenna cable.
