When initially started the system performs an authorization. An Emergency-Call emergency call cannot be made without authorization. The
Emergency-Call emergency call system does not function in the absence of authorization.

The emergency call is directed to the emergency call center via the AMPS mobile network.

Car phone (AMPS module in control unit)

TELE AID emergency call switch-on characteristics
The TELE AID emergency call system is switched on with:

The switch-on procedure is indicated by the indicator lamp flashing (4 s) in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3). Moreover, the D2B telephone and TELE
AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) waits for a ready confirmation from the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) after it was switched on. The system is
operational as soon as the ready confirmation is received. If the system is not authorized, an error message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13)
of the instrument cluster (A1) and the indicator lamp in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) lights up.
TELE AID switch-on characteristics telediagnosis
The TELE AID telediagnosis is operational with:

If the system is not authorized, an error message appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).
TELE AID telediagnosis switch-off characteristics
