DANGER:
Risk of explosion from gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury from caustic burns to eyes
and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.

-

Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked container

Connect quiescent current retention device

See "Commercially Available Tools" given below.

Disconnect ground cable of battery

3.1 Detach roof trim and place down to the front.  

3.2 Remove rear window

Separate plug connection of AM/FM antenna module (X1/19)

Disconnect intermediate frequency antenna module connector (X1/20)

Separate plug connection of antenna module supply (X1/22)

Unclip center cable guides (1)

Remove cable

Unclip left cable guides (2)

Remove cable

Detach rear window antenna amplifier module 1 (A2/71)from rear window

CAUTION:
-

Do not damage rear window.

-

Carefully heat the repair area using a hot-air blower.
