Cassette mode, function

The compact cassette player is integrated into the radio (A2). When the cassette is played it starts with the 1st track, the side which points upwards being
defined as side 1. With this function a cassette symbol is shown in the display (not in telephone mode).

When the cassette is inserted the play function continues from the place that it last stopped.

Cassette input/output

If, when the compact cassette player is switched on, a cassette is pushed in beyond the removal position, it is drawn in automatically and adjusted to
cassette mode.
The type of tape is detected automatically.

By pressing the "cassette eject" button the cassette which has been inserted is pushed out again. The compact cassette player switches over to radio
mode.
The compact cassette player is operated via the function keyboard.

A sluggish cassette is ejected automatically. In this case the compact cassette player automatically switches over to radio mode. A torn tape is not
detected.

Winding forwards and backwards

Winding forwards and backwards is triggered by pressing the winding buttons:

Fast forward button displayed at the "top" "CC FF"

Rewind button displayed at the "bottom", "CC REW"

When the end of the tape is reached, the track is changed and play mode is commenced. The winding process is continued when there is an incoming
call. The tape is paused until the end of the telephone conversation.

The winding function is terminated by the following events:

Pressing the reverse button

^

On/Off button

^

End of tape reached

^

Changeover to another signal source

^

Changeover to telephone mode

Music title search (music search)

This function winds the cassette backwards and forwards until a pause in the music is found and then automatically switches to playback mode. The
music search is triggered by pressing a winding button.

Scan search

The scan function is started by holding down a winding button. Each piece of music is played for approx. 8 seconds. The display is as for fast forward or
rewind in cassette mode, but the abbreviation "SC" is additionally displayed.

Skip blank function

When the drive does not detect a sound signal on the cassette for more than 15 seconds, fast forward to the next title takes place automatically. If a next
title is not detected, it winds to the end of the tape and the track is changed and the search continued. When the function is activated the abbreviation
"SB" appears in the display. The process is terminated after the end of the tape has been reached for the 3rd time (empty cassette). The compact cassette
player then switches back to radio mode.

Break function

The compact cassette player is paused by the following events:
