If fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) is still operational.

Swap the terminals to change the direction of rotation of the fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1).

Detach slider (77) from jacket tube.

If fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) is defective and if upper steering shaft has been extended past center position.

Unscrew screws (2) for this step.

Unscrew nut (62a) from link rod (62) on upper steering shaft bracket (70g).

Fit upper steering shaft (70g) on connecting piece of lower steering shaft (arrow) using a suitable tool (077) and drive out until the link rod (62) is
extended out of the bracket (70h).

Avoid damaging connecting piece of lower steering shaft.
