Do not remove the collar protection when slackening twelve-point or hexagon collared nut.

To improve guidance when loosening the hexagon nut with collar, press shop-made bush into the commercially available socket wrench bit.
CAUTION: Installation: Replace twelve-point nut or hexagon nut and tighten in stages until the friction torque measured previously is
reached
NOTE:

168 mm dia , 185 mm dia, 198 mm dia rear axle center assembly Replace elastic spacer sleeve, see diassembling and assembling rear axle
center assembling,adjusting gear set:

Rear axle center assembly 168 mm dia,
-
rear axle center assembly 185 mm dia,
-
Rear axle center assembly 198 mm dia,
-
210 mm dia rear axle center assembly in rear axle center assembly 210E: If the minimum torque is not reached, the rear axle center assembly
should be replaced for the time being.
CAUTION: Installation-Secure twelve-point nut or hexagon collar nut

Detach joint flange (41)
NOTE: Use puller if necessary

Press out radial seal ring (42) using a suitable tool
NOTE:
-
185 mm dia rear axle center assembly: When pressing out make sure that no retaining lug (if present) of the loose thrust washer at the tapered
roller bearing is broken off If necessary, replace and remove lug in rear axle center assembly.

Installation Replace radial sealing ring and coat lip with universal hypoid gear oil: Universal hypoid gear oil

Replace breather of rear axle center assembly

Install in the reverse order

Check rear axle center assembly oil level, top up if necessary
