Normally, the telephone connection is established through the telephone antenna (A2/49a1), which is on the roof of the vehicle. In the event of a
malfunction of the telephone antenna, e.g. with a rollover, the rear bumper of the vehicle is equipped with 2 emergency antennas, which mainly consist of
the emergency call system antenna splitter (A2/25), left backup antenna, emergency call system (A2/54) and the right backup antenna, emergency call
system (A2/55). The emergency call system control unit detects the antenna failure and then automatically actuates the backup antennas.
